Why I don’t have enough vertical jumping power?

I am 185, and I sometimes even jump lower than people who are 160. I do many sports, such as kendo, volleyball, swimming etc, but somehow I just seems like I lack of jumping power. I can run quick, and in a long distance better than average. But why I just can't jump high enough? Has anyone experienced this? I don't need any exercises because I am starting to do squats everyday, I just want to hear some tales of yours who had experienced the same problem as me.
