Vertical Jump Higher – How to Vertically Jump Higher

With more sports out there, some involve the vertical high jump. It can help with football and more. So, what do you do when you need to make your vertical jump higher? There are tons of ways, but you can start with some simple exercises that you can do nearly anywhere with no equipment needed.

Before you go to do the actual exercises, they have taught you in gym class that it is always vital to warm up. The same holds right here. What you need to do is jump rope which is said to help you warm up. The muscles that you will be using in a vertical jump will then be stretched and ready for you to help it grow.

When you go to make your vertical jump higher, there are two areas that you need to work. The first are your leg muscles since you will be putting the most pressure on these areas. In the ankles is a fantastic place that you need to look at. The other areas are the abs. You use these to push off.

There are a few exercises that you can do. One of them you can do in line while you wait in the check out line. You rock back and forth from the heals to your tippy toes. Some of you might already do this. You do this until you are not hurting. If you hurt, you are pushing.

Another thing that you can do to help exercise to increase your vertical jump is stomach crunches. We did say that you needed to work on your abs. The reason for this is because when you do sit ups you strain your back. Here, you are not using your back, you are just lifting your shoulders off the ground and that puts more of the strain on your abs.

If this is the first time that you have done this, then you will want to start out in small increments. No matter if you are a pro at this or not, you want to only do these exercises three times a week. No use in exerting yourself now is there? When you have done this, you are ready and will see an increase in how high you can vertical jump.
